1 Coupez des morceaux de 10 x 60 cm de cordon pour macramé. Doublez neuf des 10 morceaux et roulez le 10ème morceau en un anneau magique.

2 Braid the nine pieces of macramé cord onto the magic ring as shown in the photo. Secure by feeding the ends through the loop (Lark's head knot).

3 Pull the two cord ends of the magic ring and tighten it around the bauble as shown in the photo.

4 Tie a square knot around two cords as shown in the photo. Continue like this all the way around, tying a total of five square knots.

5 Stagger the square knots from step 4. Create a space when tightening the knot. A tip: Use a thin flower stick or a No. 3 knitting needle to ensure a uniform gap on all five square knots. Make the next five square knots around the bauble.

6 Stagger the square knots from step 5 relative to step 4 to make a diamond pattern. Tie five square knots with a longer space, using either a pencil or a No. 8 knitting needle as the spacer.

7 Repeat step 6 twice, tying a total of three lots of square knots using a pencil or a No. 8 knitting needle as a spacer.

8 Cut a 50 cm piece of macramé cord and use it for assembling all the braided macramé cord ends. Make a loop with this cord away from the bauble and arrange it together with all the cord ends. Wrap the other end four times around the loop and the other cord ends. Push the cord end through the loop. Trim the cord at approx. 0.5 cm and pull the opposite cord end to cover the cord end inside the knot.

9 Trim the ends 8-9 cm further down.
